Gabby Connally, was a starting guard on the Georgia Lady Bulldog basketball team, she has been tabbed a Southeastern Conference Player of the Week, the league office stated in their national announced .
Connally has posted a trio of double-figure scoring efforts to lead her team on multiple win streaks. The San Antonio native paced Georgia in scoring in many of their games, including a 22-point effort against Virginia Tech, when the Lady Bulldogs handed the Hokies their first loss during the season.
“Our team grew up, and one major reason for that success is Gabby Connally,” head coach Joni Taylor said. “She really stepped up and played great for us in all our games. When our team needed a big shot or something positive to happen, she was able to provide that spark. Gabby is very deserving of this honor, and I look forward to watching her continue to improve.
